Primary Responsibilities:

This position will develop new business opportunities with large-midsize accounts. Your success will be dependent on your ability to prospect, qualify potential accounts and build relationships with key decision makers.

He/She will:
• Identify and qualify new opportunities for their potential
• Develop and implement strategic sales plans
• Prospect new clients through market research, cold calling, networking, attending trade shows, etc.
• Develop and foster client relations to achieve retention goals
• Develop sales by making initial presentations; explaining service benefits
• Prepare proposals and presentations

Desired Qualifications:
• Proven B2B Sales experience selling services
• Diploma preferred in Business
• 5+ years experience selling to automotive and general manufacturing markets
• Knowledge of quality systems and processes is a definite asset

Contract Quality Engineers and Liaisons. Hours and length of assignments vary based on customer demand.

Areas of Responsibility may include:

  • Conducting quality system assessments and/or layered process audits
  • Managing different aspects of product launch
  • Development/revision of Process Flow Diagrams, FMEAs and Control Plans
  • Facilitating problem solving activities with limited information and data.
  • Investigating product failures to determine root cause and corrective action
  • Implementing containments and product sorts
  • Developing inspection and rework instructions
  • Conducting dimensional layouts, assembling sample submission packages
  • Reviewing supplier sample submissions
  • Representing PIC Client at their customer’s facilities
  • Interacting daily with suppliers

Qualifications:

Min 2 years experience in Quality Engineering
Technical degree or Engineering degree (or equivalent in technical aptitude, knowledge and experience)

The PIC Group is looking for quality inspectors in the Whitby/Oshawa area!

We are looking to fill a variety of shifts (days, afternoons, and midnights) and are looking for candidates who have the flexibility to travel within a one hour radius of their home. Own reliable transportation is required.

This is an on-call as need position thus hours cannot be guaranteed. All shifts are available immediately.

Duties and Responsibilities:
• Examine manufactured products, primarily automotive parts to ensure they parts meet all standards of presentation and quality
• Act as an impartial third party between the production source and the customer facility to ensure the product meets set criteria
• Study product specifications and work instructions
• Perform visual, mechanical and functional verification of parts to ensure compliance to set specification and quality standards
• Make independent judgments for subjective calls
• Collect and record accurate data regarding defects
• Tag and isolate defective material
• Provide description or justification for defective material
• Communicate results to managers, supervisors and production source

Qualifications:
• High School diploma required
• Valid Driver’s License required along with reliable transportation
• Post secondary diploma in quality, operations management, engineering or a related field is an asset
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to coordinate, prioritize and multitask
• Demonstrated flexibility within a fast-paced challenging environment
• Ability to take initiative and recognize needs
• Ability to handle highly sensitive and confidential material
